TWD Chocolate Chunkers

I think this week's recipe for Tuesday's With Dorie should have been called Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Chunkers! Why? Because there are so many different kinds of chocolate ingredients in these cookies! I was adding the dry ingredients to the batter when my husband walked by and said, "I think you need to add some milk or something..." Ha ha and that was before I even added all the chocolate chips and peanuts...oh, but NOT the raisens! I'm not a raisen fan, and since I'm the baker....what I say....goes! (or doesn't!)

Here is the batter ready to be plopped onto the cookie sheet!
What's that? You want to see it a little closer? Mmmm...
Everyone all lined up to head to the hot box!
Ta-Da!
I really did like these. They were very chocolate-y, no complaints, but next time I'll take the time to wash my Pampered Chef chopper and chop up the peanuts a little bit instead of just dumping them in whole...that was me being lazy!

Thank you Claudia from Fool For Food for chosing this recipe this week!

Hi Hats...Red Velvet & Hibiscus Cookies

I've made these Hi Hat Cupcakes before, but was asked to make some for a Coffee for my Spouses Club. This recipe is courtesy MarthaStewart.com. However, I highly recommend making these as minis because they are so sugary and rich!
And against everything I just wrote above, I made 3 standard size cupcakes with the leftover batter after making all the minis. I just like the split view!!!
I also made 1 1/2 dozen hibiscus sugar cookies. These were pretty popular!
I frosted the red velvet mini cupcakes right before I ran out the door, so I forgot to take pictures of them. Oops! But they weren't anything special. I have made them before as well, and think I have pictures of them in an older post. It was a great night of wine tasting, great food and funny stories!

TWD: A Whopper of A Cookie

This week's recipe was chosen by Rachel of Confessions of a Tangerine Tart. I bow down to Rachel... I was so excited to make these that I actually made them last week along with the other cookies. My husband loves the Whopper candies and so I knew these would be a huge hit here at my house!

These were so soft and yummy, that even though I packaged up a few for friends, the majority stayed right here and were eaten up at lightening speed by all of us!

Next time I make these (and oh yes, I will be making these again) I want to try to use chocolate malt powder instead of original, and I won't chop up the whoppers as fine.

I love love loved these cookies!!!

Twinkie Cupcakes & Thomas Train

Chocolate Dipped Twinkie Cream Filled Cupcakes...
Need I say more?
Thanks to a fellow blogger, sorry I can't find it now, but I saw this recipe and had to try them! I made them for my Silpada party last night! They looked so yummy!

This is the Thomas Train cake I made for a friend of a friend!

TWD Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Chocolate Chipsters

This week's TWD was chosen by Stefany of Proceed With Caution. I love baking cookies, and I loved these. I probably should have halved the recipe, because it made 63-ish cookies, I counted, but then couldn't recall how many didn't make it to the final count...oops! They were tasty!
So, I set a few aside to snack on for a couple days, packaged up for some friends, and then bagged up the rest to freeze!

I have to admit that I also made the cookies for next week tonight as well...but I will leave that mouth-watering "Whopper" of a post for next Tuesday.
